The terms that apply when you use our website or buy a workshop, training, or program from Illuminate Academy.
Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply to your use of illuminateacademy.org and its related pages, and to any workshop, training, professional development session, digital product, or other program you buy from Illuminate Academy ("Illuminate Academy," "we," "us," or "our") (together, our "Services").
By using our Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.
Who may use our Services
You must be at least 18 years old to buy a program or create an account. If you register on behalf of a school, center, or other organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that organization.
Programs and purchases
- Prices. Prices are listed in U.S. dollars. We may change prices at any time, but a change will not affect a purchase you have already completed.
- Online programs and digital products. Payment is due at checkout. Access is for the person who registered unless a purchase clearly includes more seats.
- On-site trainings. Pricing is based on the size of your team and the scope we agree on. We send an invoice once your date is set. Payment is due according to the terms on the invoice.
- Accounts. If you receive login access to program content, keep your login details private and do not share access with others. You are responsible for activity under your account.
Cancellations, rescheduling, and refunds
On-site trainings
- You may reschedule at no charge with at least 14 days' notice before your session date, subject to availability.
- If you cancel with at least 14 days' notice, you will receive a full refund of any amount paid.
- If you cancel with less than 14 days' notice, we will work with you to reschedule. Refunds within this window are at our discretion.
- If we need to cancel or reschedule because of illness, weather, or another circumstance outside our control, we will offer a new date or a full refund of any amount paid.
Online workshops and digital products
- If you cannot attend a live online workshop, contact us before it begins and we will offer a recording or a seat at a future session when available.
- Because digital content can be accessed right away, purchases of digital products are non-refundable once accessed, unless required by law.

Educational information only
Our programs and materials share educational information and practical strategies for educators and learning environments. They are not medical, clinical, psychological, therapeutic, or legal advice, and they do not create a provider relationship with you, your staff, or any learner.
You are responsible for how you apply what you learn in your own setting, including following your organization's policies, licensing rules, and applicable laws. Every learner is different, and we do not guarantee any specific outcome.
Our content
All content on our website and in our programs, including text, slides, worksheets, videos, recordings, frameworks, graphics, and logos, belongs to Illuminate Academy or our licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark laws.
When you buy a program, we give you a limited, non-transferable license to use the materials for your own learning and, for team trainings, for internal use by your team. You may not copy, record, resell, share publicly, or use our materials to train others outside your organization without our written permission.
Acceptable use
When using our Services, you agree not to:
- Break any law or violate the rights of others.
- Share your login access or program content with people who have not purchased it.
- Interfere with the security or operation of the website.
- Send spam or submit false information through our forms.
Third-party services
Our website is hosted on Kajabi, and payments are handled by third-party payment processors. Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party websites or services we link to.
Disclaimers
Our Services are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise that the website will always be available or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Illuminate Academy and its staff will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our Services. Our total liability for any claim related to our Services will not exceed the amount you paid us for the program that gave rise to the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to defend and hold harmless Illuminate Academy and its staff from claims, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, that arise from your misuse of our Services or your violation of these Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute related to these Terms or our Services will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Davidson County, Tennessee.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of our Services after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
