In short

  • The Workshop is educational. It is not a diagnosis, therapy, or medical, legal, or school advice.
  • Registering does not enroll your child at Illuminate Academy.
  • Every registrant gets a replay. Please keep your link and the replay within your household.
  • We cannot promise specific results for your child or your family.
  • These Terms are governed by Tennessee law.

Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Illuminate Academy (“we,” “us,” or “our”). They cover your use of illuminateacademy.org and your registration for and participation in Hard Moments, Clear Answers and any related live sessions and replays (the “Workshop”).

By registering, checking out, or using the website, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not register or use the site. You must be at least 18 years old.

About the Workshop

Hard Moments, Clear Answers is a live online workshop of about one hour for parents and caregivers, taught by Jacquelene Nigrelli. The date, time, and price are shown on the registration page, and your access link arrives by email before the session.

We may change the presenter, the format, or the schedule. If we do, we will tell registrants by email.

Education, not professional advice

The Workshop is educational. It is not a diagnosis, an evaluation, therapy, counseling, medical advice, legal advice, or an education placement recommendation, and it does not create a clinical, therapeutic, or professional relationship with you or your child. It cannot replace your child’s own doctors, therapists, teachers, or school team. What we share is a way of looking at hard moments, and we cannot promise what will work for your family.

If you think someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. In the United States you can call 911, or call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

Not an enrollment

Registering for the Workshop does not enroll your child at Illuminate Academy, create a student relationship, or promise admission or services. Enrollment is governed by separate materials from the school.

Registration and payment

The price is shown at checkout in U.S. dollars. You agree to give accurate information and to pay the price shown plus any taxes that apply. Payment is processed through our checkout, which uses third-party payment processors. Your bank or card issuer may charge its own fees. We may change prices for future sessions.

Replays, refunds, and changes

  • Replay. If you cannot attend the live session, you will receive the replay by email. If you also cannot watch the replay, contact us before the session begins and we will offer a seat at a future session when available.
  • Refunds. You may ask for a refund until you have accessed the live session or the replay. Because workshop content can be accessed right away, a registration is non-refundable once you have accessed either, unless the law requires otherwise or we did not deliver the Workshop as described.
  • If we change or cancel. If we need to reschedule or cancel, we will tell you by email and offer you a new date, the replay, or a full refund of any amount paid.
  • How to ask. To request a change or refund, email [email protected]. Refunds go back to your original payment method, and your bank may take several business days to post them.

Your access and personal-use license

When you register, we give you a personal, non-commercial, non-transferable license to attend the Workshop and watch the replay for yourself and the members of your household. Please do not:

  • share your access link or the replay outside your household;
  • record, copy, or post the live session or the replay; or
  • sell, rent, or use any of it for training, consulting, or other commercial purposes.

Ownership

The Workshop, including its slides, recordings, handouts, written materials, names, logos, and frameworks, belongs to Illuminate Academy or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership to you. You may quote short portions with credit to Illuminate Academy for personal, non-commercial discussion.

Participation and conduct

Please be respectful of the people in the room. Treat what other parents share as private, and do not record or repost it. Do not share identifying details about another person’s child, and do not use the Workshop to advertise or solicit. We may remove anyone who does not follow these rules.

Recordings

We may record the live session and share the replay with registrants, as described in our Privacy Policy. By attending, you agree to the recording. Camera and microphone are optional.

Testimonials and results

We share testimonials from real parents because they describe real experiences. They are individual experiences, not a promise of any result. Outcomes vary from family to family, and we make no guarantee about changes in your child’s behavior or in your family’s day-to-day life.

Third-party services

The Workshop uses third-party services such as our website and checkout platform, payment processors, Google Drive for video, and a video platform for the live session. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them, and we are not responsible for them.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. By using the website or attending the Workshop, you agree to it.

Disclaimers

The website and the Workshop are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the website or the live session will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Illuminate Academy and its team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the website or the Workshop. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Workshop. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold harmless Illuminate Academy and its staff from claims, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, that arise from your misuse of our Services or your violation of these Terms.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If a problem comes up, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it informally. Any dispute we cannot resolve will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Davidson County, Tennessee, and you and we agree to those courts. Nothing here limits any consumer rights you have under the law where you live.

Accessibility and accommodations

We want the Workshop to work for you. If you need an accommodation, such as a different way to ask questions, contact us before the session using the contact details at the end of this page, and we will do our best to help.

Changes and general terms

We may update these Terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page, and continuing to use the website or attend the Workshop after a change means you accept it. If any part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. These Terms and our Privacy Policy are our whole agreement about the Workshop. If we do not enforce a term right away, we have not given it up. You may not transfer your registration to someone else without our written permission.
